I started to get in to gold refining, buying things like this on ebay. No one in their right mind would buy this stuff for the stock price. Especially refiners, my perspective, I have refine it (use my tools and chemicals) plus sell it to a gold buyer, the best price I found is 95% of stock price. @fantasticgoat I agree, it's soooo much better to stick with grams. I had an embarrassing moment with a customer once because he weighed all his gold in regular ounces (28.3 gram Avoirdupois variety) and I just wasn't prepared to confidently explain the difference between Troy and Avoirdupois on the fly. I also have a gram Scale that goes upto 1Kg for about $8 delivered from China (bought on eBay) - od Begbucks
I calculate price per gram of 10k, 14k, and sterling on the web, so all I have to do is multiply the weight by the price. Great to memorize "ppg" too, as you can very quickly make an estimate with this info.
