@Jakobshin, I would recommend you stay away from the tourist areas (Thamel in Kathmandu & Lake Side in Pokhara). Ask your hotel or taxi driver about a "local" gold shop. In Kathmandu I'd head to the area called "New Road" and in Pokhara I'd go just north of the Mahendrapul Market area. - od Alaska John
