I plan on melting 200 cans which is around 5.4 pounds of aluminium I think so what can I do with all of it?? Mold it into a sword then sell it for $200 even though it only cost $25 to make or can I make a bomb with it? - od Michael Shelley
it was awesome - od navinkumar 2002
And this video answered my previous question. Good stuff - od webslinger67
I did this last night with my foundry that I made from the other video. This works great. I found that the pouring is a little difficult as the stuff pours at a different rate and cools really quickly. Works great after you get some liquid in the crucible but takes a while while there is nothing in the crucible for liquid. - od loki324019
Can this thing melt gold? Is it safe for me to melt led and cast lead bullets or aluminum bullets for TAOFLEDERMAUS? Can I use cement instead of Plaster of Paris? - od Sir Loin
- od Forbes Taylor
Things I must note from experience:
- get a good crucible. anything thin and steel like what you used breaks with large amounts of aluminum and long/many uses.
- try finding something else other than plaster of paris and sand. it starts cracking and breaking apart after a while
- the coals, once it reaches a high enough speed, end in seconds. I hooked mine up to a leaf blower, and it gets so intense i have to refuel it with coals every 2 minutes... - od Jeebus
That's amazing! - od Mer Maid

Are you ever going to do the video on how to mold with sand?  Did you just bury a foam sword in the sand or what?  Do you need specific sand for it? - od Andrew Patterson
Is that the master sword from Zelda?
 - od Danny Guzman
I build this thing on a larger scale but for some reason it is not melting the aluminum like it is suppose to. If anyone could help me i would appreciate it. - od Nathan Kaifesh
If you let it sit long enough, could you melt steel?? Or at least get it hot enough to be able to forge blades and stuff out of it?? - od Syllavr
