Calm down dude I'm not trying to fight. If you wanna burn through all your gas for no reason, it's your gas. It just doesn't make sense to care so much about a 3 dollar crucible when your using losing on the other end. It makes no sense. - od 1964andBefore
Your mold is suckin out all the heat from the crucible and keeping it from fully liquifying. I get what your trying to do but your flame isn't got enough. - od 1964andBefore
Jeez dude this is like waiting for water to boil holy crap. - od 1964andBefore
Okay, I see your gold is in nice tight clumps. Question: How do you do that.? Mine is always in powder form. thanks - od joehast

You couldn't finish the video? How much did you end up with? I'm sorry. but that was a lame way to end a video... - od Roger Dolan
In short... it depends. If the particulate is something organic like plastic it will be incinerated but something like metal will not and will make the quality of your gold suffer. If you've gotten your gold to sponge form like in this video and have foreign particulates, you've missed a procedure or two. You should re-digest your gold again this time filtering your chloride very well before precipitating the gold sponge. Re-digesting will only serve to improve the quality of your gold anyhow. - od metalicmario
Thanks for the compliment. Just keep in mind that Escrap will yield much less fine gold by weight than karated jewelry will and tends to be tougher to process. - od metalicmario
After straning my gold I have some debris and other small particals will this burn off in the melting proses or should I do another step before melting? - od 1 yachtcarpenter
I think you have done a great job at instructing this method. I have a small amount of gold I recovered from comp. parts and have been watching many vids on how to refine/melt it. This vid is by far the best I have seen. Thank You for this fine work. - od 1 yachtcarpenter
I just moved to the Appalachian mountains in Alabama. there are many creeks around here and there is a prospecting place 20 miles down the road running from the same bodies of water. wish me luck :) - od Xehemoth
